Mission Tie: One Child
Today’s Scripture Focus:
“Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’” Matthew 19:14
Reflection:
Children were often overlooked in Jesus’ time. Children had little standing socially. Outside of school, children were often regarded as hindrances to the greater religious affairs of the time. Jesus saw things differently.
Jesus included children, and He welcomed them as examples of Kingdom living. Their trust, joy, and dependence remind us how we are called to approach God. Jesus cared so much about children that he gave a very stern warning for anyone who would cause a child to stumble.
El Ayudante follows Christ’s example by creating space where children are valued, protected, and loved. Each child is not just the future of the Church and the nation—they are an important part of the Kingdom today.
Prayer Starter:
Lord, let every child feel welcomed and safe in Your presence. May no obstacle keep them from You.
