We are a Christian humanitarian organization based in León, Nicaragua, dedicated to partnering with the Nicaraguan people to transform the nation: One child, One family, One community at a time. Since 2001, El Ayudante has pursued this goal using a two-pronged strategy:
Our teachers and staff care for 31 children and their families through our Nicaraguan Christian Home known as the HCN. We work daily with each child and their family in our mission to improve quality of life by providing, housing, excellence in education, job skills, nutritious meals, medical care, and spiritual nurturing, all with the purpose of bringing holistic change. You can partner with us by sponsoring one of our children.
We host approximately 20-30 short-term ministry teams each year from the United States to work with local Nicaraguan community leaders toward bringing tangible, holistic change in people’s lives in the areas of spirituality, education, medicine, construction, and training. Teams partner with us to determine their passions and set goals for their mission trip. We ultimately provide an itinerary for the trip including housing accommodations, delicious meals, dedicated translators, and transportation to and from the mission field.
