Mission Tie: One Child
Today’s Scripture Focus:
“‘Do you hear what these children are saying?’ they asked him. ‘Yes,’ replied Jesus, ‘have you never read, “From the lips of children and infants you, Lord, have called forth your praise”?’” Matthew 21:16
Reflection:
God delights in the praise of children. Their worship rises pure and unfiltered, reminding us of the heart of true devotion—joyful, sincere, and full of wonder. When children sing or pray, they do so with a trust that has not yet been worn down by doubt or fear. They teach us what it means to worship without hesitation or pretense.
Through El Ayudante, we see this every day. The laughter of children playing, their singing, and their whispered prayers at mealtime are all sacred offerings to God. Their praise fills the air with hope, echoing the truth that God’s Spirit is alive in the next generation. In their voices, we hear the sound of a future church—one that worships in spirit and truth.
The praise of children does more than bless our ears; it renews our hearts. It calls us back to a simple, trusting faith. When we lift our own voices in gratitude and joy, we join the chorus that has already begun among the smallest worshipers in God’s Kingdom.
Prayer Starter:
